Outstanding clinical care in a welcoming environment

We have taken the greatest care to ensure we offer outstanding clinical level care using the very best equipment available. We have also ensured that the practice surroundings are pleasant, welcoming and comfortable. We have always felt that this is important, the level of clinical excellence speaks for itself, but we also know that to get the very best test results our Patients need to feel completely at ease.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Meet the Corstorphine practice team

Martin Smith
Director and Audiologist
Martin has worked in the hearing aid industry for more than 35 years. He started his working life with Starkey, an American hearing aid manufacturer, and then moved to Swiss company Phonak, working with departments such as research and development, so he knows the hearing aids inside and out. He has always been fascinated by the speed of developments in the hearing aid world and the beneficial impact this has on our clients’ lives. He has played golf for over years and is still yet to have a hole in one. His 2 boys, Monty and Herbie, keep him busy throughout the week – mainly as a taxi driver!

Katie Webster
Director and Audiologist
Katie qualified as an audiologist more than 25 years ago. She has worked in the NHS and also for one of the world’s leading hearing aid manufacturers. Katie was responsible for the UK rollout of Lyric, the world’s first extended-wear hearing aid, and worked closely with the research and development team in Switzerland. Katie trained many of the current Lyric providers in the UK and Ireland, and has fitted a huge number of Lyric devices. When she is not at work, Katie enjoys exploring the beautiful city of Edinburgh with Martin, her boys Monty and Herbie, and Betty the dog, and visiting her family in beautiful North Wales. She can often be found knitting and crocheting all sorts of goodies!

“Extremely kind and welcoming practice. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door and everything was explained to me in a way I understood. Everything seemed to be within the normal margins and they were able to take excess wax away from one canal. Definitely going to incorporate hearing consultations as part of my regular health check ups. Finally, a special thanks to Neil and Martin who saw me today.”
